Yesterday's storm passed overnight, and today was a rare sunny winter day on the West Coast. I took a stroll around the farm. Aileen's winter garden is pretty impressive. Check out this Romanscue broccoli.
Gracie (left) has a couple of pals to hang with. Max (top) and Lhasa (right) are American Farm Dogs, a heritage breed ideal for small acreages. They are serious working dogs, very smart but gentle and companionable. They will have Gracie whipped into shape in no time.
A blue heron sits in an old fir. I think I strained my camera trying to get a shot of him enjoying the sun.
The turkey are catching some rays too. On a day like today everyone seems to want to bask.
